GREAT BRITISH BEER FESTIVAL - Throwback to my firs

GREAT BRITISH BEER FESTIVAL - Throwback to my first time at @gbbf_official a few weeks ago and my first time in Birmingham. It happened to coincide with the city's huge Ozzy tribute. The festival was only a 10 min train ride from downtown, set up in two large halls with enough real ales and ciders for an army! Too spoiled for choice! I immersed myself in cask ale for a full weekend and tasted as many ciders as possible. Very excited to try @thornbridge's beer made with the Burton Union system. Also loved the hat competition. If there is a challenge, then of course I'm in 💪🏻. Like collecting beer bar stamps and Brummie bulls 😂.

Birmingham has plenty of nice beer bars and breweries to keep you occupied even without a beer festival being organized there!

BELGIUM BEER WEEK - Celebrating @belgiumbeerweek at @proeflokaal_de_hoppenaar in Arnhem with some fantastic Belgian brews. Some old, some new. The Cantillon Gambrinus from 1995 held up pretty well in terms of acidity, but with some aging / slight moldy character. I brought Bruxellensis Reserva by De La Senne to balance out the wild and sour beers by Antidoot, Donders, Vermeersch, Hanssen and other awesome Belgian breweries. The Pellicle cider was also a welcome intermezzo! Thanks @beergeeks_ferry for organizing!

ROTT.SOURT - This is the perfect beer to cool off with this week in the summer heat ☀️! ROTT's new 5% summer sour with cherries and raspberries is refreshing, medium sour (I think raspberries can tend to be a little acidic), subtly sweet (but not artificial) and very tasty.
